Travis Surmeier

Architecture Graduate Student

Travis is originally from Belleville, Illinois. He has studied at Kansas State University since fall of 2016 for the entirety of the five year M.Arch program in the college of APDesign. He is currently a graduate student in his fifth year and plans on receiving a minor in Business Administration as well as Leadership Studies upon graduation. He also received his Associate in Arts and Science at Southwestern Illinois College during his last two years of high school. Travis has a passion for inclusive and sustainable design, which led him to join the Net Positive Studio. He is particularly interested in community spaces that bring people together through biophilic design.

In his free time, Travis enjoys hiking, traveling, and being outdoors. He also is frequently taking on carpentry projects of various sizes and purposes.
